Guus Hiddink appointed as Chelsea's interim manager until end of season

Former Netherlands boss Guus Hiddink has been appointed interim Chelsea manager until the end of the season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
The 69-year-old also managed the Blues on a temporary basis for the final three months of the 2008-09 campaign.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on May 18, 2015 arraigned one Opara Edmund and his wife, Amarachi Opara before Justice O.O Oguntoyinbo of the Federal High Court Owerri, Imo State on a 2-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence. They pleaded not guilty to the charge. The accused persons were alleged to have collected money from one Okechukwu Ogbonna to the tune of Seven Million Naira (N7, 000,000.00) for a phony land deal situated at Federal Low Cost Housing Estate 11 Umuguma New Owerri.

Rescued women impregnated by Boko Haram say they don't want to keep their pregnancies

A relief official in one of the Internally Displace Persons camp, Hadiza Waziri, says most of the rescued women from Sambisa forest who are pregnant with children of Boko Haram members say they don't want keep their pregnancies. Hadiza said this to the New York Times crew who visited their camp recently

The Nigerian Army have arrested a fake soldier and a suspected member of Boko Haram sect, identified as Aliyu Hussaini (pictured above). According to the Army, Aliyu is an Impostor who has been parading himself as a Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army and was fraudulently collecting money from people.

Photo: Collapsed building in Surulere yesterday

A Mosque collapsed this Sunday evening at Zamba street, Ikate Surulere. Witnesses said one minute the building was standing, the next, they heard it giving way and watched it collapse, everyone present ran away from  and around the building. The Anambra State Police Command on Sunday debunked media report that a certain restaurant in Awka, the state capital, has been dishing human flesh to unsuspecting members of the public in its menu.
According to the report, the police, had on discovery of the restaurant, closed down the place.
But in a telephone interview on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Uche Eze, said, “There was nothing like that. I advise you to ignore that report. It’s not true and it did not happen. We don’t have such record. It’s embarrassing.”

The lady trekking from Enugu state to Abuja, Agu Chidera Joy successfully arrived at Gwagwalada yesterday night where she lodged and attended to some injuries. She said she is determined to get to her destination because her walk is not for person(s) but for the unity of Nigeria, hence hers is called #UnityWalk.
