Shocking; Voter slumps, dies in polling unit

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, said the incident happened while the man was waiting to be accredited during the governorship and House of Assembly elections.
He said, “On Saturday, at about 3.30pm,one Mr. Bulus Tsanmani (38), in the Bogoro LGA slumped on a queue while awaiting accreditation at his polling unit in the Gwaranga ward.

“A police patrol team attached to Bogoro division visited the scene and rushed the victim to the General Hospital, Bogoro for treatment where he was later certified dead by a medical doctor.”
Mohammed said the remains of the deceased person were deposited at a motuary for postmortem examination.
The PPRO stated that no foul play was suspected in the incident, adding that more investigation would still be done.”
It will be recalled that angry youths in Bogoro, in the Bogoro Local Government Area of the state allegedly beat a councillor from Gizaki/Badagari Ward, Mr. Musa Daniel, to death during the elections.
The Chairperson of the Caretaker Committee of the Bogoro LGA, Mrs. Hassana Arkila, broke the news to journalists shortly after casting her vote on Saturday.
