NDLEA Arrests A Lagos Pastor With 1.978kg Of Heroin At Enugu Airport


 LAGOS—Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, AIIA, Enugu, have arrested a Lagos pastor over drug trafficking.
The suspect, Daniel Lanre Akintola, 43, was caught with 1.978kg of heroin concealed in the false bottom of his luggage.
This is coming just a few weeks after a Lagos-based pastor was arrested for smuggling narcotics to South Africa at the Lagos Airport.
Vanguard gathered that another suspect, Onwueg-busi Tochukwu Victor, 48, was also arrested with 51.5kg of ephedrine found inside his luggage.
NDLEA commander at the Enugu Airport, Mr. Nsikak-Abasi Udoh, disclosed that the 43-year-old pastor wanted to abandon his luggage at the arrival hall for fear of arrest.

I went into robbery to pursue my career in football – Suspect

25 year old armed robber, Emmanuel Enu (pictured above) from Cross Rivers state who was arrested alongside his accomplice, 30 year old Stanley Enu, by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Lagos State, for carrying out armed robbery attacks on residents of Satellite Town and Ijegun areas in Lagos state, says he took to armed robbery so he can pursue his dream as a footballer.
"After I finished secondary school, I started work as a security man at a terminal in Apapa. I was earning N18,500. When I lost the job in 2014, a friend introduced me to robbery. His name is Onuora. He also brought the gun. On that day, we took off from around the Wharf area, we were on a motorcycle. We snatched one man’s phone, and Onuora said he wanted to ease himself. While he was doing that, some policemen on two motorcycles arrested me and found the gun in a bag that I was holding.

Pics: Serious fight at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja yesterday

There's serious fight happening at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja this night after Aero Contractors canceled a flight from Abuja to Lagos after a 3-hour delay. The flight was slated for 6pm this evening, but Aero contractors canceled it at 9:05pm. Immediately passengers heard the news, they mobbed airline staff, destroyed their printers and other properties. Aero staff, including luggage attendants ran for their dear lives.

Passengers say they are now stranded at the airport...that the airline didn't put them in a hotel or even give them a refund. Above is a photo from the scene. And that's blood. See more photos after the cut

BAD! Couple Abandon 4 – Year Old Mentally Challenged Child In Hospital

A couple on Tuesday abandoned their four-year old child at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, and fled.
The couple, in a note found on the child, claimed they were no longer able to care for the child.
Witnesses said the couple came to the hospital in the morning with the child under the pretext of coming for treatment. They then headed straight to the physiotherapy department at the administrative block of the hospital. However, hours later, at about 12.20pm, hospital staff noticed the child was without her parents.

Mother Sells Her Child For 300,000 Naira

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has recovered a baby boy, David Johnny, who was stolen by a doctor with the connivance of his mother, Esther Johnny, and sold to a woman in Abuja.
It was learnt that the mother initially denied knowledge of the crime as the police intensified efforts to unravel the whereabouts of the baby.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Akwa Ibom State, Mike Okoli, said this in Uyo on Tuesday.

4 Armed Robbers Who Crossed Into Nigeria From Ghana Killed By Ogun Police


From SEGUN OLATUNJI, Abeokuta Four members of an international robbery gang suspected to be from Ghana were yesterday shot dead by police in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital. The State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) men who carried out the operation also arrested two other members of the gang who were seriously injured during a botched attempt on a bureau de change office in Itoku, Abeokuta. The gang which fell into the trap set by the police was said to have attempted to rob the forex operators before they met their waterloo. Parading two of the suspects, Adamu Bamako and Ibrahim Tanko, who were injured during the shoot-out, the state police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, described the suspects as cross-border bandits based in Ghana.

Fake Lawyer Arrested In Court In Lagos


The police at Ojokoro Division have arrested a 34-year-old man who has been parading himself as a legal practitioner in Lagos State, western Nigeria.
The suspect, Mathew Olayeye, was arrested at Ojokoro Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where he was facing another criminal charge.
His arrest followed a report by Barrister Seyi Olawumi, the General Secretary of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ikeja branch, Lagos, that he was an impostor.
The police promptly responded and arrested him at the court and detained him at their station for investigation.
P.M.NEWS gathered that Olayeye appeared before Magistrate Olayinka as a counsel in a matter which attracted suspicion among the lawyers present at the court.

TOO BAD: Pakistani woman burnt alive by husband and father-in-law for going out without their permission

25 year old Pakistani woman, Shabana Bibi pictured above from the Muzaffargarh district in Pakistan died on Saturday April 18th in the hospital after suffering burns to 80% of her body.

According to reports, Shabana's husband of three years, Muhammad Siddique and her father-in-law Pir Bakhsh, beat her and then set her ablaze after she went out to see her sister without taking permission from them. Muhammad Azam, brother to Shabana, while narrating his families ordeal to the media, said he will set himself alight if he does not get justice.

SHOCKING: Gunmen kill El-Rufai's campaign coordinator in Kaduna


One of the local campaign coordinators of Kaduna state governor-elect and former FCT Minister, Nasir El-Rufai, Markus Ishaya, was killed yesterday April 21st by unknown gunmen at his home in Atuku Kasa, Atuku Ward of Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state.
In a statement released by Mallam El Rufai's spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, he said Ishaya, who was  El-Rufai's coordinator in Atuku ward in the state, was trailed to his village by 2 gunmen and was shot severally.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, April 20, 2015 arraigned one Stephen Omaidu before Justice M. A Nasir of Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Jabi, Abuja on a two count charge bordering on theft to the tune of N68, 028, 000, 000.00 (sixty eight billion and twenty eight million naira).
Omaidu, in connivance with Alhaji K. B Kabiru, Godswill Oyegwa, Ben and Oliver (all at large) allegedly hacked into the server of a second-generation bank and transferred the sum of sixty eight billion, and twenty eight million naira into different accounts for personal gains.

Boy, 16, Arraigned For Allegedly Defiling 2-year-old Girl


A 16-year-old, Azeez Ganiyu, who allegedly defiled a two-year-old girl, was on Tuesday arraigned in an Apapa Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Ganiyu, who resides at Ijora Badia area of Lagos, is standing trial for child rape.

The Prosecutor, Soji Ojaokomo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on April 16 at the same address.

Ojaokomo said the accused called the girl and lured her into a lonely place while her mother went to get food for her.

Ojaokomo said, “Ganiyu took the girl to an uncompleted building beside the house and defiled her.

“Her mother started looking for her child on her return and she asked her neighbor, who said she left the girl to play outside with other children.

SHOCKING: Father charged to court for raping daughter

A 47-year-old man, Solomon Ojo, was on Monday arraigned in an Ota Senior Magistrates’ Court, Ogun State for alleged rape of his daughter.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ojo, who lives on Abinuyo Street., Ijoko, in Ota, was charged with one count of rape.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Rosemary Brown, told the court that the accused committed the offence sometime in 2013 at about 12 noon at his residence.

SHOCKING: Couple arrested for stabbing 10-year-old girl in her private part

A couple, Eucharia Chukwuma and Jerry Oko-Oboh residing in Joshua street, Ajangbadi area in Lagos state have been arrested for stabbing 10 year old Chidinma pictured above in her private part over allegations that she fiddled with the private part of their 3 year old daughter, Peace on April 6th.
According to Punch, on the day of the incident, the 10 year and the 3 year old, who are neighbours, went out to play. After the couple's daughter returned home from playing with Chidinma, she complained to her parents that Chidinma had fiddled with her private part. Angered by the allegation, the girl's mother Eucharia went to Chidinma's house and met with Chidinma's mother, Ofia.

Trouble started in the home of Mrs. Grace Adebiyi (not real name) in Akowonjo area of Lagos when she noticed a strange discharge from the private part of her eight-year-old daughter, as she slept on the night of Sunday April 12, 2015. “I would not have been worried if not because that I had noticed she was walking awkwardly when we were going to church earlier in the day. But when I asked what was wrong with her, she said nothing,” the woman said.

Police have arrested the housemaid who kidnapped the Orekoya three children, 24 hours after she was employed last week at Lawanson Road, Itire area of Surulere, Lagos.
 She blamed her kidnap activities on her husband.
Her true name is Funmilayo Adeyemi, a mother of four, and not Mary Akinloye as she claimed and she is 35 years old, against the 23 she claimed.
The suspect allegedly masterminded the kidnap of the three children (Demola, 6; Adedamola, 4, and Aderomola, 11 months) with the aid of her husband, Waheed Kareem, her brother in-law, Akeem Kareem and her brother in-law’s wife, Joke Oseni, who are currently on the run.

12 Nigerians, Ghanaians Thrown Into Sea ‘for Being Christian’

Twelve Nigerian and Ghanaian migrants were thrown overboard following a fight concerning their Christian religion, Italian police said yesterday. The police said 15 African Muslim migrants have arrested over the incident. . The victims were “of Christian faith, compared to their attackers who were of Muslim faith,” police said in a statement, saying the 15 people arrested were accused of “multiple aggravated murders motivated by religious hate”. The incident aboard the rubber dinghy, which was carrying about 100 migrants, took place in the Strait of Sicily, between Tunisia and Italy.
